with the sound start keyframe/layer selected, drag your sound from the library to the stage,.
in the properties panel assign your sound's sync property to stream
add an empty keyframe in your sound's layer where you want the sound to end.
Sorry but I am still confused. So what I want to do is, lets say I have 4 frames overall in my action script 1 code. On frame 3 is my actual game, the rest are the start, help, and end screen. I want the music to start and be playing on frame 3 and end once i hit frame 4. I understand the part where I drag in the music file into the scene on the frame I want, but from their, when I click on the properties, I get no option for sound's sync. The properties that I am using is the one when you right click the sound file in the library (F11) menu. Also please explain the last step in your explanation a little more. Sorry I have just started using flash and help is much appreciated . Thank You! If you need any screenshots or the game itself, i'll be happy to supply them to you.
that doesn't make any sense unless you have a stop() on frame 3 and a button that allows the user to advance to frame 4.
Here you go, I uploaded some gameplay for reference
