    Lightroom 6 import not detecting all files

      I'm trying to import a folder of pictures into Lightroom, and it seems to go off without any problems or error messages, but when I check the picture count it doesn't add up. There are 398 files (JPG, NEF, and one MOV) in the network folder I'm importing. But Lightroom only shows 367. It seems to be skipping random JPGs. I've deselected "Don't Import Suspected Duplicates." I've tried dragging and dropping the missing files into the library but it just brings up the import dialog and then shows 0 new. What's happening, and what can I do about it?
