Let me know whether you can see any Adobe related entries inside Hosts file like 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com.......etc??
Still the same, I signed it & signed out then tried to launch Illustrator CC but it comes up with the same dialog box, just as if I have it as a trial & the trial has run out. That's what it's showing.
I then did what you stated & got these
AH! Ther is the problem.
There are Adobe blocker entries in the Hosts file as I suspected.
We need to remove it.
You cannot edited Hosts file which is inside Etc folder.
So we will Edit the Hosts file which you had copied to Desktop and then replace it with Hosts file in Etc folder.
Delete all Adobe entries from Hosts file which you had copied to Desktop.
Then copy and paste it back to Etc folder ,
When asked , Authenticate with Mac password .
Then make sure to select replace option./
Once you had replaced Hosts file with Edited Hosts file . double click on it to open and then check and make sure there are no Adobe entries,.
Then launch Illustrator CC app and check.
Hey no luck, still comes up as if its a trial
Double click on Hosts file under Etc folder and check whether there is any Adobe entries left ?
Nope, all that's in the Hosts folder is
# Host Database
# localhost is used to configure the loopback interface
# when the system is booting. Do not change this entry.
Sign out from Creative Cloud and Sign in again .
Once Signed in , click on Apps tab and load Apps list ,
Once the Apps list is loaded .
Launch Illustrator CC app and check.
Also make sure there is only one Hosts file in the Etc folder .
Just getting the same as before.
Quit Creative Cloud desktop application and Close all Adobe applications .
1) Right click on Finder icon and select "Go-To" Folder option.
2) You will get a text box, type-in below command and then hit 'Return' key.( Do not miss ~ symbol)
3)Then navigate to Application Support>Adobe>OOBE. Open OOBE folder and delete opm.db file.

If you still face same issue , You need to contact Adobe Customer support and check with your account status , whether the subscription is Active Or not ?
You may use below link :
Click on " Still Need Help? " button and then click on Chat option.
I apologize for the trouble you are facing.
Did you get the payment details updated by contacting the Adobe support?
Hey there, is their not just someone I can send an email too? It just keeps sending me back to where I started and I haven't yet found anything that's helped me. When I click into things such as 'Renew, extend or restart your membership' it just tells me I need to update my payment details, which I have done numerous times.
Hi Nick, your prepaid subscription expired over a month ago, so I would recommend purchasing a new plan from creative.adobe.com/plans
For issues regarding billing, it's best to contact Adobe Support first to make sure we can sort it out on the account side before troubleshooting, etc. Let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks for that, that's what i thought i should do. Do you recommend I delete all my adobe products? or when I buy a new plan will it just reactivate them?
No need to remove the applications .
Once you renew the subscription , all you need to do is refresh Sign in , by Signing out and Signing in to Creative Cloud .
Then you can reactivate the CC apps .
Good thing about troubleshooting steps we tried is removing Adobe activation block entries from Hosts file .
If it was there , even after renewing subscription , you'd have faced same issue.
