The newest version of Flashplayer will not install on any browser. What's up with that?? Never had this problem before

The latest version of flashplayer will not install . I have never had this problem before. It does not matter which browser it is downloaded from . I save it to downloads and with the bowser closed double click on the installer . It gets to about 50% then i get the Adobe download manager has encountered a problem , and it never finishes

  How do i get the most current version to install ? I have nevr had this problem ever before on this computer .
