Does the font work for other applications? What does “on my computer” mean? Did you install them according the way your operating system requires them to be installed?
All that out of the way, the fastest way to fix this for InDesign is to find the fonts folder in the InDesign application folder and copy them there.
I saved the font files in my control panel under fonts, etc. They show up in Word so I had assumed they were installed correctly.

The easiest way to add fonts to Windows is simply right click the font file and choose install.
Worth noting: the list in InDesign is not simply alphabetic. Look carefully for the font.
