I started a subscription of Lightroom cc, and since then have had issues trying to import a catalog with smart previews that was shared with me. Everything worked perfectly while using the cloud version of Lightroom 5. All files are synced through dropbox, and when I try and import them I get a message about upgrading the files. At that point, even though I can see the previews of the files, I either can only import one or two images, or the whole catalogue imports with no previews because it says the files are not found. I'm really frustrated and need help. I am editing photos for a wedding photographer and I need to get this fixed. Any ideas??
You can share a catalog from different versions of LR. And LR won't be able to UPGRADE a LR 4/5 catalog to a LR 6 catalog over a drop box connection. It has to be done locally then Re-Uploaded to DB. But if the person/place you are sharing it with doesn't have LR 6/CC 2015 they won't be able to read that catalog.
