    cc indesign 2014 fonts

I have installed indesign 2014 from the creative cloud, I found that I only had a limited set of fonts, in paricular a reduced subset of myriad pro. After investigation I found the fonts in the required fonts folder. I have installed a full set fonts including myriad pro in my windows folder which seems to have solved my problem, but if I try and delete the fonts in the required fonts folder it causes errors.

Will indesign always go to the system folder for the fonts and do I need to erase the fonts in the required fonts folder or can I safely leave them there.
