I have been using Lightroom (stand alone) on my Macbook Pro for three or so years, and it has worked fantastically. Stable, reliable, to be recommended.
However, since upgrading to CC in the last month, Lightroom has become so unstable as to be difficult to use effectively. The following behaviours have manifested themselves more than once:
(I report all issues by the way.)
Quitting when crossing modules; flicking/flickering between grid and loupe views; hanging when develop module opened; taking several minutes to register a new collection or sort a smart collection.
PS and Bridge (which I do not use regularly or in depth, am still training on them) have not demonstrated these behaviours.
Help would be gratefully received
Marvellous, I've had two hours of perfect functioning.
Many thanks and best regards
Glad that worked for you. There are some compatibility issues with certain Graphics drivers. In addition if your CPU is significantly higher performance than your GPU it will actually slow down LR. Hard to say what the actual cause is in your case, but make sure you have the latest OS X update installed on your Macbook Pro.
