The info panel will display a photo caption from LR metadata if present. The panel will also show a download button if you have authorized downloads.
Allowing Friends &Family to Download from LR Mobile Web
Go to the above link and if necessary sign-in (top right of page) with your Adobe ID. If you are already signed in your collections marked for sync should be displayed.
The share button is highlighted in blue for those collections where you have generated a link for sharing. Otherwise the button will not be highlighted.
If you click on one of the highlighted buttons you can put a check mark in the box to allow large jpeg downloads so that anyone you give the link to is able to get copies.
actually you're right and that's what I expected but seems to me there are some glitches,
I cannot see any metadata when looking from Safari (both iOS and OSX), correct metadata is displayed only on Chrome.
Download button is present even on Safari if "allow download" sharing option is checked (but not present on iOS, possibly because of platform limitations).
Being logged or not seems not to change behavior.
Would you take 2 minutes and check if you see the same?
here: left Safari, right Chrome - same photo, same page URL, both logged with AdobeID.
Ok, I've managed to find out why:
you see metadata information ONLY if you access the photo through "lightroom.adobe.com" and click on the collection, so you need to be logged as well of course.
If you access the sharing link generated by the sharing option you won't see any information (whether you are logged or not). Download button behavior is okay.
I believe this could be a bug, as you can choose to "share metadata" in the app so I believe this has to be seen by users who have the sharing link, and it would be useful as well.
I'm seeing photo captions but not camera info when using the sharing link but not logged in.
