We host several ColdFusion 10 sites and right around the same time I started seeing Adobe Marketing Cloud commercials on TV, a few of these sites (3-4 so far) started reporting sporadic errors, all similar to this:
"TELMGMT","151.245.172.182Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.1; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET4.0C; .NET4.0E; Tablet PC 2.0; InfoPath.3; ATT)40AdobeOrg, on line 1, column 31, is not a valid identifer name. <p>The CFML compiler was processing:<ul><li>An expression beginning with AMCV_55633F7A534535110A490D44, on line 1, column 1.This message is usually caused by a problem in the expressions structure.</ul> <br>The error occurred on line 26./sbc45000/srf55000_order_process.cfm"
Based on some Googling, I think that the AMCV_55633F7A534535110A490D44%40AdobeOrg is a cookie that is somehow related to Adobe Marketing Cloud.
None of these sites reporting these errors are using Adobe Marketing Cloud. Clearing their cache/cookies makes the error go away, but if they pick up another cookie then they start getting it again. None of the sites made any code changes... It just seems that the existence of these cookies is causing the problem.
Can you explain the cause of these errors... and/or how to avoid getting them?
Have something to add?
