After my composition was already done I discovered with my job colleagues skilled on HTML coding that is not so good to work with videos inside Edge Animate.
They told me to do that only on DPS because the published HTML take a lot o time to load on devices like tablets os mobiles.
Is there a correct way to work with videos on the composition so that they could perform reasonbly on android tablet, mostly on this my app?
A common reason behind video taking so long to load is not the size of video- 40 mb for example. It is the fact the mp4 was encoded using a Constant Bitrate and a super-size data rate such as 20 mbps. If you are creating video to stream then use 2 -Pass Variable Bit Rate encoding in the Adobe Media Encoder and set the Target to between 4-8 Mbps and the maximum to to no more than 10 Mbps. If you have an audio track, knock it back to Mono and the bitrate to 64.
The other thing to keep in mind is Animate doesn't load the video into the composition. It finds the video in the media folder and starts streaming the data into the player.
