I apologise in advance if this has been asked before. I did try to search for it, but the results were so numerous I thought I should ask here. I am sure I will get a quick answer to a simple question.
I am thinking of moving to LRCC from LR V5.71 (and also to PSCC from PSCS6) the only reason I haven't done so is because I'm concerned about all the plugins and stuff that I have amassed over the years. (Nik Collection including various 3rd party presets etc., Perfect Photo Suite V9.5, numerous LR presets, brushes for PSCS6 and the list goes on and on.
If I install the CCversions do they a real upgrade, (like LR V5.7 to V5.71)? I know that LRCC will upgrade my LR V5 catalogue to V6. So my question is simply this, if I install LRCC will I have to reinstall all of my LR plugins, presets etc? (I assume PSCC will be the same?) Because if this the case; it will take me ages sorting things out, and it might be enough to make stay with what I have now.
I can only speak for the Nik collection and for a plug-in that calls a printer routine for my Canon printer. I don't use it very often, but I have it installed. When I upgraded from Lightroom 5.72 Lightroom CC I didn't have to reinstall the Nik collection or the printer plug-in. They were both available in Photoshop and Lightroom.
thank you for your very quick response. This is great news!
