I'm working on tagging a pdf for ada compliance and when I'm checking it with read out loud it stops reading after the first page. Are my tags not ordered correctly?
It's a 45 page document and set up as follows:
<Part> for each chapter
<Sect> for each section in the chapter
It's a private document so I can't load it. Thoughts?
Your tag structure example looks good. Read Out Loud is not a great choice for checking reading order for assistive technology and reflow-capable PDF readers. A much better choice is the free VIP PDF Reader from the Swiss National Association of and for the Blind. It is available in a Mac version, you can find it here The first PDF reader for visually impaired people: Swiss National Association of and for the Blind SNAB. For Windows there are other choices (PAC 1.3, PAC 2, Callas PDFgoHTML) , but VIP should work fine.
Hope this helps.
