    Importing XML Data to InDesign

We have converted our 300+ page catalog from Quark to InDesign. Our catalog contains over 10,000 products. There is a screen grab below that shows a basic layout for reference. We have previously used an Xtension to Quark to import various data including Item Numbers, Model Numbers, Shipping Weights and Pricing. We are now trying to import the same data hopefully without the use of a plug-in. We have tried to import the data from XML to InDesign without any luck. Does anyone have suggestions as to how this can be accomplished or would it be best o purchase a plug-in?

Thank you for any help or suggestions.
