trying to install LR CC & PS CC update & getting exit code 15 & dw051 error

I've restarted my system and never had problems installing updates before and now suddenly I'm getting this error & I can't install the new LR CC or the PS CC update. Any suggestions?

Using Macbook pro, OSX 10.9.5

This is really frustrating since I pay a monthly fee. It was supposed to be easier to get updates not harder. I've been trying to resolve this for a while now and I can't seem to get any resolution. We need an alternate way to install these updates & new versions when the installer fails.

We will provide full permissions to Adobe folder under both Libraries and then try to update .

Step 1 :

1) Right click on Finder icon and  select "Go-To" Folder option.
2) You will get a text box, type-in below command and then hit 'Return' key.( Do not miss ~ symbol)

~/library

3)Then navigate to Application Support>Adobe

.

Right click on Adobe folder and select "GetInfo" option.

Expand the Sharing & Permissions section.

Click the lock icon in the lower-right corner. Enter your administrator user name and password when prompted, and then click OK.

Please click on '+' symbol , it will open list of user accounts. Add Currently logged in user name and Administrator option,

Then provide "Read & Write" permission to Currently logged in user name and Administrator option,.

Click the Gear icon, and select Apply to Enclosed Item. Close the Get Info dialog box.

Step 2:

After providing full permissions if you still face same issue while updating , run Disk Utility.

Navigate to Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility ,.

Run Disk Utility,

Click on Mac HD option and then first " Verify disk permissions "

Then " Repair Disk Permissions" option and once the process is completed, try to update and check.

I got that the dw051 error when I tried to download the ps cc update & I got the exit code 15 error when I try to download & install LR cc. Now after following your instructions, I'm just getting the exit code 15 error on both.

In this case , if it is okay for you try to install update using New Administrator account or Root user account once.

Steps:

New Administrator account :

You may follow below steps and create new Administrator account .

Restart the computer and then login to new Admin account and try to launch the application and check once .

1. Click on Apple icon and then select System Preferences option and then click on User & Groups icon.

2. Click the lock icon to unlock it, and type the password.

3. Click the Add button below the list of accounts.

4. From the New Account pop-up menu Choose a type as Administrator

5. Enter a name for the account as Test. [ or any other name as per your choice]

6. Leave the Password blank. [ or you may enter password as per your choice[

7. Click Create Account.

8. Restart the computer and login .,

Then try to install update and check.
