    LR Freezes, grinds computer to halt.  Disabling GPU does not help.


      Please help.  I updated to LR CC and LR has become essentially unusable.  It loads fine, and will work ok while I'm in the library module, but as soon as I enter the develop module my machine grinds to a halt.  This affects my entire computer, not just lightroom.  I have no choice but to restart, which also takes forever.  When LR starts to freeze up, the title bar (with Library, Develop, Maps, etc) starts to flash.  LR mobile and face detection are turned off and I have disabled the GPU acceleration but this has not helped.  I never had a problem with LR 5.  I am using a Mid 2009 MacBook Pro with 8GB of RAM running OS X Yosemite 10.10.3.  My video card is a NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT 512MB.  I should also note that as my machine grinds to a halt the Activity Monitor shows memory usage well above the 8GB that I have.  Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have a shoot to turn out soon!  Thank you!
