What's the OS? Clean install of ID, or some sort of migration? Can you export to .inx?
And how about if you log in using a different user account?
Hi Peter, Thanks for taking the time to help me. I REALLY appreciate your help and time
The opperating system is OS X Yosemite version 10.10.3
I can export to an .inx file. I never tried that before.
I own the CS3 suite so I have never loged in as a different user before.
The major problem here is CS3 is not supported on Yosemite and if it runs at all you are likely to have this sort of glitch.
The new user is a new user on the Mac (a log in identity). You will probably need to create one under Users. Do that, then shut down and restart the Mac and log in on the new account to test.
You didn't answer the questions:
Was Yosemite a clean install and was CS3 installed properly or via migration?
Yosemite was an upgrade. I did it in Dec. I did it through the internet as a download. I Indesign was messed up before that tho. You helped me to be able to load it after my install.
I am not sure what you mean by via migration unless you are referring to an install from the apple website.
I just logged in using a different user. I got the same results. When I click the save button nothing happens
So, if it is not supported then what are my options? CS3 is expensive. Are there any upgrades that don't cost an arm and a leg?
You could try a clean install of the operating system followed by an installation of CS3 but I doubt it will work.
Sorry, but beyond moving to Creative Cloud or buying a full license to CS6 I have no suggestions other than to roll back to Snow Leopard.
