I have a 2pg spread document. The document setup specifies a slug area of 5/8" on all sides. I want to export a PDF of each page separately. The problem I am having for example is that elements on the right hand page that fall into the slug area when I am exporting the left hand page are showing up in my PDF. Is there a way to prevent elements on the opposite page from being included in the slug area of the first page?
Yes, there is a way, but you won't like it ;-)
You have to isolate every page and give every page its own spread like that:
Depending on how your page elements are constructed, this could be a tedious task.
First select all pages in the Pages Panel.
Then turn "Allow Pages To Shuffle"(*) OFF in the options.
Now you can drag out every other page in the Pages Panel horizontally to create a one page spread for every dragged out one like shown in the screenshot above.
(*) I hope, I have this command right, because I am on a German version of InDesign.
Your solution works perfectly for our needs.
Thanks very much,
