Flash Player works in IE but not in Chrome

On many of the news sites I use, videos using Flash will not run. I click the Play button and it does nothing. I can open the same page using IE and it will play the video...but I hate IE. Any ideas?

Hmm... that's an interesting technical choice on their video player approach.


Try clearing the Remote Shared Library cache on your machine.


Do the following:

Go here: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager03.html

Uncheck "Store common Flash components to reduce download times"

Click Confirm

Recheck the dialog.
