On our 2 servers the processes fmsadmin (v4.5) and amsadmin (v5) use up all the available memory after a while. Both machines have 8GB of RAM installed, and the processes use about 7.8GB plus all available swap space. This leads to client connections dropping. After a restart of fms/ams the memory is freed up again and memory usage is stable.

Machine 1:

Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS with Kernel 3.13.0-37

FMS 4.5.0.r297

Machine 2:

Ubuntu 14.04.01 LTS with Kernel 3.13.0-40

AMS 5.0.7.r7050

We use the following HTTPCommands to get statistics from the server: ping, getLicenseInfo, getServerStats. After the restart of the processes and disabling the statistics we could not see any significant memory increase in a 2 hour period. The logs have almost no information about any problems beside some admin command timeouts every now and again.

Is there anything we can do to help debug this problem? The statistics are vital in helping balance the load between the servers.

Kind regards
