My apologies that is the Nikon 18-140 lens
The majority of lenses are designed for the use with applying corrections to raw files. By chance do you have a jpeg or tiff file selected?
I am using Nikon raw .nef file. I thought the latest profiles come down with updates to lightroom but for some reason this one is missing
I don't see the referenced lens in the Adobe master list:
An 18-140 is there but it came out with LR 5.3 and your LR 4.4.1 is too old.
So either your lens isn't supported at all or your LR version is too old.
Thanks ssprengel, I see that now in the column to the right
The lens was released a year prior to LR4...seems adobe could easily provide compatibility. Maybe there is another way to get the profile?
Thanks again for your assistance
Is this for a mirrorless camera? If so the lens profile could be built into LR or at least this is the normal thing to do, nowadays.
Upload one of your raw photos to dropbox.com and post a public share link to it, here, then someone else can see if the lens has a profile from their newer LR version.
You can downloaded and install the DNG Converter 8.3 or newer from:
Then go to:
And copy the lens profile file:
NIKON D300 (Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-140mm f3.5-5.6G ED VR) – RAW.lcp
To the special third-party lens profile folder, creating Downloaded if necessary:
And it should be seen in your pre-5.3 version of LR.
Or you can upgrade to LR 6 or LR CC.
Thanks - I will try that
