So, the real goal is to have a clickable image - i.e email, facebook, twitter logo. I came across icomoon which is a font set that includes custom glyphs. Seems like if I can include the font with my plugin and somehow reference it, then I could use a static text element to make a clickable 'image'.
So, anybody know if it's possible to include and reference a custom font?
You can choose font family for a control -- see the documentation for "LrView control view properties" and this thread: is there anything that can be done to improve the UI appearance?. But I don't know how you might reference a custom font without first installing it on the user's machine.
I don't think it is possible to use fonts without installing them on the system, but I think I used clickable image in one of my plugins by using place="overlapping" and static_text.
