I work with a designer remotely. She compressed a big InDesign files. Her job was to do alternate layouts. When I decompressed the files and opened them on my desktop, they are completely different. the bottom is cut at the edge of the page, a strip of color did not go to the edge, etc. I accessed her desktop remotely to see what her files looked like and they were correctly prepared.
Is there anyone who might know why this happened? I use InDesign CC2014. I packaged the files as if for print to get them to the designer and they opened correctly on that end. They're warped when they come back to me.
Thank you, Erica
Instead of transferring that way, I would recommend sharing a dropbox folder. Much easier to deal with.
It’s pretty much impossible to diagnose what’s happening here without seeing the files.
Thanks Bob. We tried via Dropbox as a compressed file and also as an uncompressed file (but packaged) also in Dropbox. The warp is the same. It's weird.
