You can set the movieRate of the video sprite to 0 to stop the movie, and set it to 1 to play it.
i tried that but the whole sprite holds i just want the last frame to hold until one of the buttons are pressed to continue
Can you clarify what you mean by movie? Do you mean the Director file
itself, which in Director-speak is called a movie, or do you mean a
digital video file?
> HOW TO STOP AND HOLD A SPRITE AT A CERTAIN FRAME for X AMOUNT OF TIME
> HOW TO LINK THE BUTTONS TO CERTAIN FRAMES AND SPRITES
Are you asking how to stop a digital video sprite? If so, you can check the
movieTime property of the sprite and then change the movieRate to 0 to pause it. If
you want the button to restart the video, you can set the movieRate to 1.
If you' mean something different, then please provide more info as Word One
suggested and well try give you the answer you're after.
