I get a XML source, which could contain returns (\r) inside an XML element representing different paragraphs, e.g.:
<bodytext>This is the text of the first paragraph.
And this is the paragraph below.
And so on ...</bodytext>
It's easy to apply a paragraph style for the whole <bodytext> with XML scripting rules. But when first paragraph of <bodytext> should have another paragraph style, which applies a drop cap: How can I do this?
Thanks in advance
Why wouldn't you reach the paragraph object from the xmlElement and apply style ?
myXMLElement.paragraphs.appliedParagraphStyle = myParaStyle;
Exactly this came to my mind either, but I'd hoped for a way to do this kind of operation before XML layout execution is done. I'll test and answer to this tomorrow. Thanks for your suggestion!
After a couple of tests I'm very delighted to see that this is even working BEFORE the placing of XML elements to the layout (i.e. when the XML source can only be seen or accessed in the structure pane).
