A few more details would really be helpful. But, basically, if you don't want your prints to be cropped then you need to make sure that the files are cropped to the same aspect ratio that you want printed.
s what I have been trying to do ... I think I have been doing it right bt maybe not...how do I resize my stuff at export so its the right ratio

You don't do it at export, you do it in the Develop module because cropping is part of editing. Crop to the aspect ratio that fits the paper and make a Virtual Copy. Now you can return to the original copy and either cancel the crop or change it to fit a different paper size and make a second VC, and so on. When you export an image for printing, be sure to select only the appropriate VC. In the Export dialog you set file format (jpg), color space (sRGB) and pixel dimensions, but the aspect ratio has already been determined.
The ratio is set/changed by using the crop tool in the Develop module. The standard ratio for a DSLR is 3:2 which is a 6x4 print.
In the export dialog you can change the exact size in pixels if you need to, but not the crop ratio.
Thank you ...
This sounds like I've been doing it wrong . I will try your suggestions and
see if I can't bread success
