I'm attempting to update Adobe Flash Player 18.104.22.1685 on Windows Server 2012 R2 to version 22.214.171.124. I downloaded Flash Player 126.96.36.199 from the following URL then launched the executable:
I then received this error:
When I run Windows Update, no updates for Flash Player are found. Can someone point me in the right direction?
In Windows Server 2012, Flash player embebbed in your IE and is updated by Microsoft through windows Update feature and you cant install in manually. Yesterday, we Flash player had a release 188.8.131.52. To get the latest flash player, perform your windows update.
Prior to receiving your reply, I uninstalled Adobe Flash Player 184.108.40.2065 via the Control Panel -> Programs and Features. Although I did this, four Flash Player version 220.127.116.115 files were still "stranded" in C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash. I ran Windows Update multiple times, but Windows Update did not update these files.
I then downloaded the Flash Player version 18.104.22.168 installation package from here: https://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp_22.214.171.124_archive .zip. I ran the flashplayer17_0r0_188_winax.msi file and this installed the Flash Player 126.96.36.199 ActiveX component and upgraded the files located in C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash.
I've run Windows Update again, but it does not show a version 18 of Adobe Flash Player available.
