What is the exact version number of LR you are using?
LR5.7.1 doesn't support RAW files from the new Canon 750D. You have to buy an update to LR6 or using the DNG-Converter to convert raw to dng files. That can be then imported to LR 5.7
There are three ways to get a newer version of LR:
- Buy the serial-number-activated, standalone LR 6 upgrade from the Products page linked at the bottom of any non-forum adobe.com page once you scroll down.
- Buy a US $10/month Photography Plan subscription that includes Photoshop CC and Lightroom CC.
- Buy a US $50/month Full-Cloud-Suite subscription that includes many Adobe products including PS and LR-CC. Your screenshot appears to be a trial of the Photography Plan because PS and LR are both listed.
The apparent difference between LR 6 and LR CC is that LR CC will get new features as Adobe adds them (the promise of the cloud subscription is continuous updates) while LR 6 users won’t get them until they pay to upgrade to LR 7 in a year or more. LR CC is also a monthly subscription that will cease to work after the year is up unless you sign up for another year.
The first such CC-sooner feature appears to be Dehaze: http://www.imaging-resource.com/news/2015/05/28/adobe-teases-new-dehaze-feature-said-to-be -coming-soon-to-lightroom-cc
so once i make the purchase, definitely i will get to use LR6 ? even with PS?
meaning those new user like me using canon 750d don't get any trial to develope before purchasing?
as current trial not compatible to my image raw file.
You should be getting LR CC (6) as an offer in the CC App, not LR 5.
Are you using a 32-bit system? LR 6/CC requires a 64-bit OS.
In other words buying a cloud subscription won't change what products are being offered as a trial.
yes my laptop is 32bits system..
maybe due to that i unable to get LR6..
so meaning i cant do much.
when will it be available for 32bit system?
Lightroom is no longer being offered in a 32-bit version.
well thanks for the advice...
