You haven't shared some important information. What OS? And even more important what happens when you try to launch? Any error message? Any system behavior at all?
Windows 7 Home Premium.
On attempting to run Lightroom, processes will start momentarily, mouse cursor spins for a couple seconds, and that's it. Processes die, and the application never launches. No splash screen or anything.
Try to start LR while holding down the Alt + Shift keys to get the option to reset its preferences.
Also, make sure to have it updated to 2015.0.1 using the CC application.
okay, thank you. I will try that as soon as I'm able.
I just downloaded it yesterday from the cc app, so I'm sure it's up to date.
Thanks for your suggestion. I tried it, but still no change.
I've now tried:
1. Reinstalling, from CC app
2. Re-logging into CC app
3. Clearing cache folders as per Adobe support pages
4. Holding alt-shift when starting app.
5. Closing CC and all associated processes and starting Lightroom directly.
Still no change. Lightroom.exe shows up briefly using about 8mb of ram, and then disappears and nothing happens. I'm not sure what else to do. I need the software in order to work.
Any other suggestions? I'll be able to call Adobe support directly tomorrow, but I don't think they would have anything else to say about it that I haven't already found online. I guess the only way they could help would be to cancel my subscription.
