I have a macbook Air (2013)
OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.3
1.7 GHz Intel Core i7
8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
intel HD graphics 5000 1536 MB
Your Lightroom does indeed have this option, every Lightroom CC has this option. It is found under Preferences->Performance, uncheck the box next to Use Graphics Processor
ah. ok, i can't even open Lightroom CC it keeps closing unexpectedly right after the splash screen. I get the following warning -
"lightroom quit unexpectedly. Click reopen to open the application again. click report to see more detailed information and send a report to apple. "
The second option on this forum (Lightroom doesn't launch or closes automatically after splash screen) is to :

i have followed this pathway, but I do not see any folder in Adobe named SLCache or SLStore.
Perhaps you are looking in your user account Library? You need to navigate here:
Macintosh HD >> Library >> Application Support >> Adobe
You are correct, I found the pathway and the appropriate folders. I changed the folders to SLStoreold and SLCacheold, then I signed in and out of CC. The program continues to quit unexpectedly.
I have the same experience, using OS 10.11.1
