I upgraded my Lightroom 5.7 to Photoshop Lightroom CC. I want DNG files to open with LR, not PS, but can't figure out how to change it. I have Windows 8. I have gone to the control panel, programs to change the default program. Photoshop shows up as a possible program, but not LR. When I search for the application, all I find is the old LR app, which doesn't work. What's up?
What's up is that Adobe has changed location to "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom" in CC/6 rather than a directory with the version number.
I don't understand your question. You don't open files with LR, you import them into the LR Library and edit them in the Develop Module.
As suggested by Joe, you can't open images in Lightroom.
You can open Lightroom directly (the name for Lightroom CC program is Adobe Lightroom ) and import the required images in Lightroom by selecting the correct source where the images are stored.
