There is a Check Box in the import window for Don't import suspected duplicates. Un-Check that option.
But if these really are different images, even of the same subject on the same day or another day, then I'd say you have some other problem. Like you have your camera set to Re-Set the image number, file naming, on a format of the card. That setting, which a lot of camera have, will always produce images with Exactly the Same File Name/Number. Then Lightroom sees those newer images as the same because of the same File Name/Number.
Thanks for you answer. I checked on the picture numbers and they are the next number set, like original 9154-9160, the new set is 9161-9167. I think they were putting the pictures in the same file though.
Today when I tried I did find that they were importing the new pictures and adding some of the old, so I imported the new and unchecked the old, so I could get this project on the road.
I have two cards and I will change to the second one to see if it's the sim card or what ever that is called.
When switching cards in the camera it is VERY Important to Format the newly inserted card in the camera. If you don't and it has images on it the Next Shot you take will start the image/file numbering from the last number on the card. Which will cause you to have duplicate file numbers/names from the other card.
Thanks you for reminding me. Sounds like something I would do.
