I received an InDesign document to use as a template for a new project. The previous user had used a plugin I don't have (SMD Channels Model.sdk.InDesignPlugin). I ignore the warning and have had no problems with the document, so clearly the plugin isn't needed. However it continues to tell me that the plugin is missing whenever I open the document. I tried to package the project, but it won't do it because of the missing plugin.
So, how do I disconnect this document from a plugin I don't have, don't use and don't need?
This issue has not come up with any other documents, so I know it must be connected with this one project.
Save it as IDML and use that as your starting point.
Thanks! That seems to work great. Do I lose anything going to IDML and back to INDD? (i.e., should I be concerned enough to reproof the document?)
Should be fine especially when exporting and opening in the same version.
