I am getting "Edge Animate-Exception" error message when I try to change elements from pixel-based positions to percentage-based positions. I think get a follow-up "unknown C++ exception" message right after. I am trying to change my animation from a fixed width to a responsive width. Any thoughts?
I am using Edge Animate 14.1.1 in Windows 7 Pro.
I suspect you have several layers wrapped up in a symbol. Probably the layers are each calculated in different ways. Perhaps some have a container orientation upper left, some upper right and so on. Perhaps you have some that are already percentages. Perhaps some are text, which don't have all the same values and properties as shapes.
You need to go into the symbol and work from inside out. Start working with the most inner nested layer. Do not apply percentage to groups before you apply percentages to the children of the group.
Select similar types, and change them all together.
And SAVE with every success. It's easy to overlook a crash-making difference between your selections.
