Thank you for posting on Adobe Forums.
Thank you, that worked on LightRoom. How would I do it for Photoshop 6?
If you mean convert PS CS6 to PS CC, you can’t without paying for PS-CC and then you’re not really converting just buying the newer version.
If you mean you have PS CC and you want to install PS CS6 alongside, then open the CC desktop app, scroll down to and expand the Preview Versions section and PS-CS6 should be one of the apps you can install.
If neither of these scenarios is what you’re referring to then please be more specific.
Let me be more specific. I have been using Photoshop CS6 for a couple of years. I started using Lightroom 6 about 6 months ago. Today I decided to go to the Cloud version and purchased the Photographers Bundle for $9.99 a month. I was able to get Lightroom 6 to switch over to the CC version with the help of the above messages. But there isn't anything about how to switch from Photoshop CS6 to the cc version.
Please launch the creative cloud desktop app and install Photoshop CC from there.
CS6 & CC are different versions of Photoshop.
As the Adobe staff person just said, PS-CS6 has nothing to do with CC, so all you have to do is open the CC Desktop app, perhaps using Gear / Prefs / Signout, and then restart it so it refreshes, then there should be a PS CC 2014 available in the Apps list with an Install button next to it.
You should see something like the first two apps I have in mine, listed in yours, with an Install button next to PS and an Open button next to LR.
if you don't then please post a screenshot of your Apps list:
I am working on a Windows 7 64 bit machine.
I'm not sure about the error you're getting. Googling I find that someone had to uninstall OnOne Perfect Photosuite 9 and then reinstall it:
Another suggestion would be to reboot, uninstall PS-CC, reboot, install PS-CC, reboot and see if it works.
