I'm currently a student trying to create some content, but I have the following error appear:
We are wanting to project running water, through some pipes that I made in Photoshop (17mb JPEG):
The tower we want to project on is 13m high and 7.8m wide and we're using two Christie RoadRunner L8 projectors with a Sanyo LNS-W01 lens (LISTING ALL THE INFO), so we calculated the pixels for the surfaces that were projecting on for pixels per cm.
I'm not sure what to do at this point in order to solve the problem. Please help
What are the maximum horizontal & vertical dimensions in pixels of the projector and the playback device? They would be your limiting factors.
You can't project what the projectors technically can't handle. Calculating some abstract DPI and dimensions is utterly irrelevant. It's simply not how this works. Video resolutions are standardized and fixed for this exact same reasons, so by all means design your work at standard HD or 4k or directly to the spec of the device.
