It varies and you can't control it.
FYI you can see the correction level in any QR code by looking at the ECL modules : QR Code Error Correction » QRStuff.com
InDesign creates Level M error correction QR codes. That's about 15% error correction capability, meaning up to about 1/6th of the QR code could be damaged (or overlaid with artwork) and it could still be read.
