You could copy and paste the mask shape to the motion path...
So, no - not yet.
It would be great to be able to specify a path and then animate various items along that path as that path animates wouldn't it? Something like the Align to Spline tag in Cinema 4D.
i wonder if there is something in ae scripts that can do it...or an alternative to a motion path - driven by a mask instead..
Can anyone else help with this problem?
Just be clear I'm looking for a way to update motion path by altering the mask shape. For instance when a vertex on the mask is moved then the motion path mirrors this change.
And is there an ae script that can help?
Not that I know, since obviously everyone would simply use copy&paste. Otherwise expressions cannot access mask paths and that is that, so nobody can create some interactive expressions. You could buy the BAO Masked Avenger plug-in, though, that offers some such functionalities.
Damn. That's all I could find too.
OK thanks for the advise guys.
Do we know if there is a script that copies the action of:
Copying the mask
Deleting existing position frames on an object
Pasting the mask of a motion path over a specified time range
