What are your computer's specs?
ATI Radeon HD 4870 512 MB
12 gb memory
and 2014 working as a charm..
How often does it do that? What are you doing when it happens?
I have experienced a similar issue in cc15. Only restarting the app has cleared it for me.
Mac Pro (Mid 2010) 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB
So closing the timeline panel or opening up a different composition didn't clear it?
If you are able to consistently reproduce this problem (after restarting After Effects CC 2015), I would like to get more information from you, and possibly your project.
We have seen this problem, but only sporadically, and haven't yet been able to identify what triggers it.
I havent used cc15 enough to find a pattern, but it did happen more than once. If I can recreate it, I will post my findings.
It's a heavy project with lots of layers and stuff going on.
With no exotic project/preview settings.
But it's consistant every time I open the project.
I turned off 'Previews Favor Active Camera' and this seemed to help a little bit,
but after just seconds the problem re-occurs.
I think also the audio has something to do with it.. but this is guesswork on my part.
Does it happen in just this project?
If it doesn't happen in any other project, what happens if you import this project into a new one?
Your suggestions were good and they partly work, but only short.
It happens in more projects, just scrubbing the indicator back and forth makes it go mental.
But very inconsistent.
I've sent the project, upon request, to Tim Kurkoski of Adobe.
So I think they're looking at it.
For now I'm in cc 2014, and everything works as I expect it.
Thanks for the thinking.
