Please help - I have a trial of Lightroom so am an absolute beginner. I've been trying to watch tutorials on adjustment brushes, and changing colours of backgrounds etc, and in every single version including CC/6, there is a "colour" square box to click on to chose the colour. I don't have that box so I can't choose colours. Any ideas? Thanks. I'm sure its something very simple that will make me feel like an idiot but I've exhausted every google search and tutorial I can to find out why it isn't showing. Karen
Have you tried using the scroll bar on the right? After you press K to activate the adjustment brush you should see Color below the bottom slider (Defringe)
You click the gray rectangle with the cross to bring up the color swatch.
Thank you so much everyone for your speedy replies. I consider myself to be an intelligent woman, but perhaps not. The solution was simple - there was a tiny black triangle (drop down) to the right of effects that somehow I wasn't seeing. Simple. I'm off now to hang my head in shame. Thanks again. While I'm here though, I'm trialling both Elements and Lightroom (maybe why my brain is fuzzy!) - anyone have a preference for amateur photography with an aspiration to be pro?
