I just upgraded to Lightroom CC 2015.1. I created a collection with a custom order. Then I copied all the files into a Published Services folder to publish to my hard drive. I checked the ordering and it still looks good. In my publish services settings I have it set to rename the files as Sequence (#01)_Filename. Upon publishing my files are output using the correct naming format, but it has used the original image order...in reverse! So my final/most recently taken image is given sequence 01 and it works back from there, and it totally ignores my custom ordering. Is this a bug or am I doing it wrong?
I find it works OK. Ensure your Publish Collection is set to Custom Order in the tool bar. Then select the first image and press (Ctrl+A / Cmd+A) to select all. Then click Publish.
Nope, that doesn't work for me. What I find is that Lightroom publishes the files in the order that I set, but it names them according to reverse chronological order of the shoot date/time. However, when I go to the collection, select all and just export, then it renames the files in the correct custom order. I have Googled it and other people have found the same going back to Lightroom 5, so it seems like a long standing bug.
