This didn't solve it, kglad. The instruction it provides hinges on whether or not I get that same message when trying to open Lightroom. IF SO, then follow the instructions. But I do NOT get that message when opening Lightroom. (Also new 2015 Lightroom.) Therefore, I didn't try any of the possible solutions.

BTW, what version of Windows do you use, and is it 32bit or 64bit?
Lijie......... I also have installed Photoshop, Lightroom and Illustrator. Photoshop and Lightroom don't have a "Welcome..." screen that opens when the program opens. However, Illustrator and InDesign DO. The "Welcome..." screen in Illustrator works just as it should; no problems, no errors, etc. But trying to open the InDesign "Welcome..." screen causes that error message, 100% of the time.
I'm on Windows 7, everything 64-bit.

Can you confirm if the Welcome screen works well in Illustrator CC 2015?
Since both Illustrator CC 2015 and InDesign CC 2015 use exactly same CEPHtmlEngine.exe, if it works in Illustrator but not in InDesign, I suspect some of its files are corrupted or missing. Could you please try this?
- Uninstall InDesign CC 2015.
- If there is any remaining files in C:\Program Files\ADOBE\Adobe InDesign CC 2015, delete them.
- Reinstall InDesign CC 2015.
