Your external file will align it's upper left corner to the reg point of the movieclip you are loading into.
Is there any code I can insert that will align to where I put the container on the .fla file? thanks...
just change the position of your Loader movieClip.
or if you are doing this all with ActionScript use this to position it.
Well, I guess I can place my movie container somewhere completely different from where I want it to appear on my final swf file. I don't think that's the most elegant way to go about it, but one question I do have is how to I keep the bitmap images that are off that swf file not to appear, and to make it not scale? Right now, when the external swf file comes on screen, excess parts of the image appear and it scales? Thanks.
if im understanding you correctly, for you excess parts of your images, you coud use a mask layer to ONLY show the parts of the image you want..
and to keep the swf from resizing, you can use this on the first frame:
im quite new to actionscript, so this is the only way i know.
Also you can change the " scale " setting in the Publish Settings option.
