In order to see the cursor you should set indent the font 2 on each side. You can do this with the text tab of the property inspector under paragraph properties.
I do not know where to find this. I am using Director MX 2004. I looked under the text inspector, the property inspector. I do not see the Indent option.
You need to switch to List View Mode - that button at the top of the Property Inspector that looks like a little bulleted list. And make sure that you have one of your text fields chosen so you are looking at its properties.
I do not have an Indent property. I have switched to List View. I am using an Input Text Box so users can enter data. I am not using a text box to display text. It is for data entry. Therefore I do not have a paragraph property tab. Do you know of another way to get the cursor to show in a text input. It shows on every text input on the MAC program but only some cursors show on some text inputs on the PC side. Thanks for the Help!
You need to have a #text member (or sprite) selected first. Then, look
at the Property Inspector and make sure you are in list view... there
are a bunch of tabs... Sprite, Behavior, Member, TEXT, 3d Extruder,
Movie. If you do not have those tabs, then you are not looking at a
#text object. Perhaps you are using a #field? Or perhaps one of the
Click on the Text tab. That is where these options are.
