I am embarking on animation for the first time and, admittedly, excited by the prospect. I have learned the basics through this fantastic tutorial but my heart dropped when I read: "The HTML file is used to display the SWF file in a web browser. (The web browser then calls Flash Player, an installed plug-in, to render the contents of the SWF file onscreen)."
I don't want visitors to need flash to view these animations! In a dream world I just want to create my animation in flash and then convert it to CSS. Is this really naive? Sorry for the noob question, but as I mentioned -new to the animation game! Any help appreciated.
Flash Pro lets you publish for HTML5 Canvas directly as well.
But a website visitor still needs Flash Player installed to view it animations published on HTML5 Canvas .... Right?
No, they don't need Flash Player to see your HTML5 Canvas animations.
