Why dont you go for a buitin scroll pane component ???
You dont need worry about the masking if you are using the
scrollpane in FLASH.
mmm.... that may be an option. I generally stay clear of components as find I cant customise that easily.
But in this case I may not need customise much. Will it work as im intending? ie. like a browser window would?
Thanks - Ill take a look
It will definitely work !
Look, they aint hack the windows scroller in the model site you mentioned.
They just make the swf file width and hieght to be always fitted with the browser window. So, it wont show the windows scroller. Now, the scroller in the swf is working like a windows scroller with our custom color settings and functions.
ook - well Ill see what I can do (they seem a little complicated to get working these componentss) well for me anyway :)
thanks for your help
No problem !
mmm... I managed to find a scrollpane in action. Seems to be pretty cool. Although there is some complex code in there :|
I cant seem to get it to scale to stagewidth and height. If I change the code in the pane it resizes it once, but doesnt update if I reisze the file again.
Look , you can change the height and width dynamically according the scales of the contents. And I think you are using Flash MX. Anyhow thats not problem.
Do you want the same functionality like your referenct site ???
Dont try to make all the clips and actions within the scrollpane.
You just use that, only for the right side clips or scroll contents.
In case of your reference site, they are using the scrollpane for only the thumbnails on the right side of the window....
well I had tried putting...
on the main timeline but nothing happened :(
Which reference site are you referring to? Thumbnails? I basically just want to scroll the entire contents of the page like a browser window
thanks for your patience - unfrotauntely my like I say my coding skills aren that great so things arent always THAT easy for me :(
Ive reuploaded my zip
