I use an iMac at home for developing photo's at home, but now I got me a MacBook 2015 for when I am on the road or on holidays.
On my last trip I went to Rotterdam by train and used the time on the way back to start developing the photo's in made that day.
So at home I wanted to transfer them to my iMac but i could no find out how. When I use a memorystick and copy them i can
only copy the undeveloped photo's.
So: How do I transfer my photo's from my MacBook to my iMac with all the development I did so far.
You could set up a specific "On Location Catalog" which you can then import with all of your metadata and editing.
I do this on my Macbook Pro using a fast 128gb SD card or portable G-Drive. So no need to carry a big external HD for shorter trips. It means I can then process, edit photos and add metadata etc. When I get home, I import the travel catalog to Lightroom on the desktop machine to combine it with the master catalog.
Here is a video tutorial which demonstrates the use of a catalog on location.
Works like a dream.
Just what I needed.
