Might be a bug we've seen. What happens on those pages when you do a select all?
@Julie – what could help:
Hm. You should be able to select the text frames. If not, select the text frame where text is still showing up and change its width or height a bit to enforce a reflow, then change it back again to its original dimensions. Don't use undo for changing it back.
That's a bug I've seen in older versions of InDesign and hoped never to see it again (thought it was fixed in CS6, apparently it is not).
Different bug. The one I'm thinking about ID loses the geometric bounds and frames become infinitely large or small.
Thanks for trying. Any other thoughts? I have removed everything I can see on the pages, yet I can’t delete the pages now either. It says there are links on it. As well, it now crashes anytime I try to do anything with the 6 pages (i.e. Move them, delete them, etc.)
Since you haven't really answered the question I asked earlier I don't know what the problem is for sure. If select All give you a size or width field in the control panel that looks really odd (scientific notation), or you don't see anything selected, but the layers panel indicates things really are, or you see only a single point, those are symptoms of the bug I mentioned. The only way I know to work around it is to delete those pages that are affected and rebuild them (and yes, there should be a warning that there are objects when you do the delete).
Sorry, I missed the question. I can’t select anything on those pages at all, but if I did a select all on the pages prior to the problem pages, it would show as though all the copy is still in the text boxes. It is really odd.
Unfortunately, I can’t move or delete the pages as InDesign crashes when I try to do anything with those problem pages.
I have attached a screen grab.
The forums don't accept attachments, but you can embed an image using the camera icon on the web page, like this:
Sounds like the file may be damaged. See Remove minor corruption by exporting. If it crashes while you are trying to export, see the blind export script at Adobe Community: InDesign 6 is crashing when attempting to open a particular document. All others are opening OK.
Thank you, I will try the link to “remove minor corruption by exporting” and see if that resolves the issue.
Will let you know if it is successful.
