1. After rotoscoping a subject in a still image, and key framing the scale parameter to make it smaller, I want to change the duration of the animation because it is currently too long. How is this done? I tried dragging left on the end of the clip to shorten it, though apparently that is not how it is done.
2. after using the pen tool to select a subject, is there any way refine it afterwards, or do you just need to select the anchor points and adjust them manually around the selection? I was thinking of something like Refine Edge in PS for more control of the selection afterwards?
Thanks in advance.
1. Drag the keyframes or adjust the length of the composition (or both) depending on what you need to do. If you're new to AE, start here: Getting started with After Effects
2. Refine matte? But your mask with the pen tool should be as close as possible to correct.
If you want to change the duration of a bunch of keyframes on a single property then just select the property in the timeline to select all of the keyframes and then hold down the Alt/Option key and drag the last keyframe to the left or right to adjust the timing of all of the keyframes. This is one of the basics you need to learn.
