Can you elaborate the problems you have with that file and tell us where it comes from, with which OS it was saved and what OS you have.
Sorry, new to this forum and I didn't give much helpful info.
Mac OS to Mac OS. The indd opens, but the text is "squished" into a text box not the original shape—not the correct size font, either. The images, too, are squished and their captions did not open with the correct font.
I realize that the links need to be relinked, but it looks like I have to make a rebuild of the entire document. This does not save me any time.
Legacy file conversion has gotten progressively worse since CS6, and the bigger the version gap the bigger the problems. Try this: Remove minor corruption by exporting, and for best reulsts do it in the original version.
What is your "older" version of inDesign?
What is your OSX version?
Are you able to export IDML out of your "old" InDesign and open that in CC-2015?
What will happen, if you open the exported IDML file in your "old" version?
Are you able to package your "old" document with your "old" InDesign version and then open the legacy file in CC-2015?
